It does not take long to get into a new way of life and routine; washing the food bowls, preparing the food, and feeding the monkeys. We usually walk the dogs, then may run some errands, then spend a couple of hours just sitting in the sun observing the monkeys. Its like a soap opera; who's playing with whom, who's fighting, who's having sex, who's grooming whom etc, and there is always a naughty group who love nothing better then jumping on us, undoing our laces, trying to pinch our stuff etc.
Some days we go out sight seeing, we walked the Robberg Nature Trail, and went to Storms River Reserve, and we will often go for a walk on the beach at Natures Valley.
In the evening its feeding the monkeys again, then cook our dinner before sitting around the fire chatting or reading. It goes dark at about 6pm and does not get light before 7.30am so the nights are long, we have a pact that we can not go to bed before 9pm, so you can see I am getting plenty of sleep.
The weather has been mainly very good, t-shirt warm during the day, but very cold at night, we had a few days of torrential rain, winds, and it was bloody freezing cold, there is nothing you can do but huddle around the fire.
The good thing is that I have found out the Karen and I have a mutual appreciation for wine

Wow sounds so interesting.
Hello there, It all looks so interesting, I am getting nervous I don'y think you are aloud to bring pet monkies home. Pleased to hear you have a plastic stick, are you nervous being so close to nature. Everyone is well and working hard back here it has been extremely cold and wet. What type of dwelling do you guys stay in, do you have to fend for yourselves food wise etc, or do you take someone along to look after that. I think it is amazing what you are doing and I am enjoying reading about your journey. Take Care Luv Christina
