Horse's Ear
We took a hike at Maison Park, which means Horse's Ear, these mountains always reminds me of mountains in Tailand. We went here on a rainy day and it was still crowded at the main temple site. It was a long walk up to the temple but you are rewarded with a very cool sight, although it is not a very old temple, it is one of the most unique temples I've been to here in Korea.

On the way down from our hike we passed all thses rib BBQ shops and we were very hungry, so we went in and had ribs, they were horrible, the cook did not know how to properly cook them, they were directly over the fire and staying there a long time to cook, they were so dry. After our meal walking back to our car I noticed a gentelman cooking his ribs off to the side of the fire, almost in a smoke box, I told Pearl that this was the right way to cook the ribs, he gave us a sample and they were sooo good, moist and tender.

How to get there?
You mentioned your car in your blog. My husband and I own a car and would like to visit Maisan Provincial Park without taking a bus or taxis. From Gunsan do you know of a rout to get to the park?

Maisan
You can take jinan IC and follow signs, it should take just over an hour. If you all are in Gunsan drop me an email (santandreajohn@yahoo.com) and maybe my wife and I can join you.
