Greetings from chilly Rome!

This morning we woke up to bleak skies and rain here, and instead of walking to our nearby 'tourist locations', we took the underground metro.

First to the Spanish Steps, where we braved the rain for a few happy snaps. It wasn't until we were reviewing the photos that we saw a large group up ahead on the steps. We realised there must be some kind of show on. Alas, it was no show- it was our own Aussie Russell Crowe! Singing, of all things. We're still not quite sure what it was he was doing there but he was with three other actors and they were singing everything from Michael Jackson to traditional Italian songs. One guy even had a guitar. We were told by some Americans that the other actors were quite famous. We thought they might have been doing press for Robin Hood.

Off to Trevi Fountain! Tourists were still out in force, albeit forming a maze of umbrellas, which made it quite difficult to navigate. I threw a few coins over my shoulder and made a wish before we walked up the street for a snack. I had one grande Gelato while Ed had about a million slices of pizza. It's so good to finally see him and it's already like 'old times' again- it feels like we saw each other just last week.

We made a stop past the Pantheon, where Ed was overcome with an extreme bout of intellectual reflection, and took a bus to find a motorcycle clothing store. Unfortunately it was closed, being a Saturday here, but hopefully we'll get a chance on Monday morning before we fly out to France.

Here's hoping the weather looks up! Love to you all xx

Hi, Stumbled across your blog when checking to see if my friend had posted video yet. Yes, while doing other publicity for Robin Hood, Russell Crowe had announced he, Scott Grimes, Kevin Durand, and Alan Doyle, would be singing on the Spanish Steps. Alan is the one with the guitar - he's normally with the band Great Big Sea. Happy travels!
