All it takes is a little food to bring friends and family together. Mia is having breakfast with her cousin Concha. I feel like today was another wasted day. My plan had been to wake up and eat, write up my blog and find an internet cafe. Maria and Sara kept saying that the first buses out of the local bus station didn't leave until after 1pm. And then it dawned on me, Maria and Victor had gone to work without any backup day care plan in place. So we were forced to wait for Maria to get home at 7pm before we could even think about leaving. We passed the day away hanging around the house and repacking our suitcases for what we'd need on the next leg of the journey.
Around 4:30pm, Jose Victor took me in search of an internet cafe. The first one we found was full and he didn't know of any other. We walked all the way back to the house and Sara asked the neighbor's daughter to accompany me to find a different one. She took me farther down the hill and we finally found one. I was able to connect the internet cable directly into my laptop instead of using their computer. The laptop has a different layout in Mexico and it takes

We decided to take a bath and wash off the grit from traveling so my mother in law got the water heating up, a heating element dropped into a 5 gallon bucket of water. me forever, not to mention that all my photos are stored in here and not on a disc I can move easily. An hour in their cafe only cost me $10 pesos!
When Maria returned home, we went in search of the bus schedule for La Estrella Roja (The Red Star) bus lines to find out when the buses departed for Puebla. She couldn't figure it out on their website so I finally just told her to call their 800 number on my cell phone and save time. The last bus leaves at 8:50pm and the bus stop is 20 minutes away by combis or taxi. Since it was going after 8pm by the time we returned to the house, I told her that we were going to need a taxi because I didn't want to miss the bus in order to save a couple dollars. That driver got us there with one minute to spare! And the ride only cost us $70 pesos so he earned himself a 30 peso tip.
The tickets to Puebla in First Class cost us $134 pesos for adult, half price ($67 pesos) for Erika, and Mia rides free for a 2

When one daughter does something, of course the other one has to as well. hour bus ride. On the way, we watched "Paul Blart Mall Cop" and "The Proposal" in spanish. Erika couldn't understand a word but she was still laughing along. We didn't get to watch the end of the Proposal so I've got to rent it when we get home. The bus ride took an hour longer than scheduled due to lots of traffic getting out of Mexico City. We got to Puebla CAPU bus station at midnight which is when the last combis leaves so I headed straight for the taxi counter. A taxi from Puebla to Acuamanala cost us another whopping $179 pesos for four people, thank you, no complaints here. Well the only complaint is that he didn't know the area very well so he had to ask Sara for directions. If it has been just me, I'd still be sitting in the bus station. Severo and Isabel were sitting on the curb in front of their driveway waiting for us. Another late night were we didn't get to bed before 1am but it's all good, it's vacation right?

Wow Krystal, looking at these photos really make me appreciate the luxuries we have here. I showed my children the photos and they can't get past the hot water photo. Amazing. I hope you continue to enjoy your journey!
