Belfast
Some guy, he wouldn't get out of the way Yes, before you lace into us, we do apologize for slacking. I'm afraid we've been so busy having the time of our lives! So we'll fill you in now. We'll start in Ireland first since we were there for around 3 weeks. There's bound to be something to talk about.
We flew from Glasgow, Scotland into Belfast in Northern Ireland. Our plane ride was a millasecond compared to the long flights we're used to. We literally went up and then we went down. I don't think we even leveled out. It was an early morning so it was nice to have a short flight so we could get started on our day. Belfast is a fascinating city rich with history some of it quite recent! We were toured around the Giant's Causeway to get a glimpse of the Irish countryside, "a land they loved so well". You have to believe it when they say Ireland is forty shades of green. We've seen it with our own 2 eyes!!
We hopped a bus to Dublin in the south of Ireland. Two words "Grid system". Irelands roads make absolutely no sense. It fees like you go in a circle. I was
Belfast City
They tried for a London Eye look sure there was a quicker more efficient way to get anywhere. I suppose thats what you get when you let the sheep make the roads. They could take some pointers from BC. Though I must admit driving a standard in Ireland, on their small, narrow, windy roads was a blast!! Took some getting used to having to shift on my left but I got the hang of it. I still managed to turn the window wipers on when I wanted to turn though. Easter was great fun! Ate way to much and sleep way too little. We survived my crazy relatives and their rowdy shananigans!! Nothing like a douse of the good ol lads and lassies of Ireland. To add to the whole excitement of Easter weekend, Kirstin arrived. We are so excited to have her and her witty comments with us now. A little Leversage to go with the Rempel and Delaney!
We visited the beautiful, storytale cities of Limerick and Galway. Even got to see the end of a rainbow right outside our hotel window. Sorry folks, no sign of any Leprachans and there was definitely not a pot of gold. (Don't tell them I said that
Cute street
Belfast City though). We drove up north again for some more friendly abuse. We even manage to make new friends. I don't think we'll ever escape the Irish now!!!! Whats that saying..."if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!"
Anyways, cheers for now kids! Have a wonderful week..xo
