Seoul Night OutSeoul Night OutSeoul Night Out

Jay and Rich
The last few days have been quite chill. Besides getting totally mixed up and turned around on the subway there has been little adventure. Wednesday evening’s Jen and Jason usually meet up with some other teachers here and have a late dinner and drinks. So we went to this fancy restaurant with $8 Coronas and $15 Nachos. That's outrageous (makes me miss Central America), so it was draft for me, leaving me with a slight buzz on by the time we left. Good fun.
Yesterday, yet another lazy day, I rode the dam subway half way around the city before making it to the "What the Book" bookstore I was looking for. It's a pretty cool book store, all English books new and used. They buy used books too, but I don’t recommend it, they give a really shitty exchange. So I got Angels and Demons, pretty excited about it after finally finishing "The Da Vinci Code." After that I walked to Jens work and we had a cheap dinner followed by McDonald’s ice cream (yum). And when Jen got home we planned our weekend journey out of the city (yaaa). I cannot wait; I've had my city fill

for sure and am ready to move on.
This afternoon I treated myself to a few hours in the bath house downstairs from Jens apartment, they have them everywhere. What a place, I loved it. For an easy $4 you can spend as much time as you want there. There ware 3 hot tubs (all different temperatures), a jet pool, a cold pool, steam rooms, and a bunch of little wash stations. And you get to be naked (yaw, I love being naked), I think they should have these places all over the world. But I guess it's because hardly any of the homes have bath tubs here. Also you can get a serious scrub down massage from a lady that works there. It looks like heaven, but it’s expensive to get to heaven that way, $200 or something crazy. So I bought a lufa and gave myself a good scrub down. Also I met the sweetest girl there, she chatted me up in the steam room. She told me about how the water makes your skin beautiful and soft. And after she left she came back in and gave me an orange juice, I just thought it was such a nice gesture and it reminded me of how wonderful some people are. And I feel absolutly wonderful now😊
Tonight we are going to go out for a night on the town South Korean style, and we will head out early tomorrow morning to Chungju. There's hot springs, hiking trails and caves so I'm extremely stoked. Till next time...............
