Before we said good bye, we took pictures and exchanged information. He certainly is a wonderful person who I\'d love to run into again!
If I've never mentioned it, I LOVE THE OCEAN!!! LOOOOOVE it.
We stayed Sunday night in a Bakersfield Walmart. It really was my first taste of civilization (other than Pep Boys, and walking to McDonalds). I felt that I outta live it up. Sooo, first, I walked around Walmart. I started in the clothing section, then worked my way over to the Easter candies, then the toys, electronics.....I think I went around twice. Just looking, and chatting on my cell phone. Then, I went back to the RV and grabbed Kalib. I took him to Petco (its where the Pets go) which is 2 shops down from Walmart. We walked around there twice. Kalib couldn't get enough of the chinchila cage. He liked that smell. I brought Kalib back to the RV then headed 3 shops up to the Foods Co. I walked around and priced some groceries. The prices were even better than my fav Stater Bros.(no longer my fav). I knew Adam and I would have to go back in the morning. I really went nuts. It was a wild night!

I slept pretty well that night, and as soon as we were up we went shoppin! We

got tons of groceries. We needed to! We were about out of everything! I thought we spent well over a hundred...but only spent $60. I checked the reciept to make sure they rang everything up, they did. Good for us!

When I was putting all our goods away, our "neighbor" stopped by to say hello. His names Doyle, from Washington. Instantly the 3 of us hit it off. We chatted ALL DAY! Doyle told us all sorts of stories,...where he's been, what he's done. He also had a lot of advice. It was really great. He converted a van into a camper. Very neat. He's trying to avoid the cold of Washington, makes him achy. He told his wife he'd be back when he ran out of money. So funny!

While Doyle was showing us some pictures of his trip to Mexico, I noticed we were missing someone. Kalib. Gone. I didn't see him anywhere. We started yelling for him. No sign. Then a women asked if we were looking for a dog. WE said yes! She said, "He just went into Walmart." Great. Adam ran in the garden section. The people there said, "He's in clothing." So

We heard the climbing was good here. The parking sucked. The hike was MUDDY. Nasty. The view was nice, but we turned around1/2 way...wasn't worth it.
Adam ran to clothing. When he got there, they said "he's in automotive." So Adam ran to automotive. There, they said "we have him trapped in the back office." And there he was. Like, what? The talk of a loose dog was heard from the CB radios. The employees were lining the aisles waiting for Kalib to run by. Nice. Its kinda hard yelling at Kalib after that. Its really funny. Can you imagine what his thoughts were! Like. Well, I went in the other store last night!! Why not this one today?

Now we are in Morro Bay. By Morro Rock. Morro Rock is the last in a chain of long-extinct volcanos. Archaelogical study has dated Chumash Indian artifacts back to as early as 47 cenuries before Christ. Its huge. And beautiful. We parked on the side of the road next to the beach (on the beach, really) The view is breath taking! Its so nice. I love it. We walked on the beach and around to the other side of Morro Rock to the jetti. Here the waves are so big, and they crash so hard on the rocks the salt water sprays up, sending a mist

flying. Its really neat, but can be dangerous. They said a person dies there every year. We had a great dinner and watched the sunset. Not a bad way to spend my birthday!

We'll probably stay here another night. We may even stay at the RV park, next store! It would be nice to plug in! Take a HOT shower. Thats my day after bday wish....
