Finally reached the beach this week. Got a VIP bus overnight, took 11 hours but the seats fully recline and i slept most of the way. Then caught the 8am ferry to Kao Samed. Appartments were basic but we had a private beach and spent most of the daytime laying in the sea cooling off. Finally getting a bit of a tan!

Three day full moon party started on saturday so lots of neon body paint and cocktail buckets followed! Im officially addicted to banana pancakes and pineapple smoothies.

We hired a speedboat this week and went snorkling around some of the smaller islands. Didnt manage to get any pics as got sand in the batteries, but it was beautiful.

Im now going it alone! Waved goodbye to my Thai Explorer group this morning. Cant believe ive already been here for a month and am gonna miss the rest of the gang. Staying in Kao Samed for an extra week doing some turtle conservation and making my way to the mainland tomorrow to meet up with the rest of the volunteers.

Hired a moped today to do a bit of exploring, hopefully find someone kind enough to rub sun cream on my back! Going to watch the sunset at sunset point tonight before starting the dreaded packing ritual ready to catch the ferry in the morning.

Hope everyone is well, havent seen a british paper since i got here so not sure whats going on back home!

Real Gap
Hi Andy. I booked some of my trip through gap year for adults and Real Gap. But you can book directly with the company that run the volunteering and group tours, they are called Starfish and if you go direct you get it cheaper. Tell your friend to back their bag and come meet me, its totally lush!
