I can't believe how wonderful we are! Our mothers will be brimming with pride! We had a day of being healthy, organisey and some more healthy and then a little helpful, and failed to indulge in anything morally questionable, other than possibly Doritos...that orange dye can't be ethically sound.

We started off by getting up only quarter of an hour or so after our alarm this morning, the constant and unwavering bagel was again our breakfast companion. Although Juliet had marmalade instead of jam on hers today in a bid for extra vitamin C, bravo! Jenny, after drinking lots of water and putting some warm socks on, decided for her continued good health she should take some beauty sleep to deter the oncoming signs of a cold. Not before taking a multivitamin though (and that's no easy feat! Those pills are big and mean!)

While Jenny industriously caught up on sleep, Juliet filled in her journal for the past 3 days, uploaded photographs, listened to good homegrown New Zealand music, and chatted animatedly with random passers by, bringing a smile to their eyes and a sparkle to their days (Jenny assumes). All in all rather relaxing and good for

The objects of our visit naturally...I was totally impressed that they weren't sealion pops the air was so cold
all concerned!

Upon waking Jenny sorted out her pictures for this site so you will find we have numerous new pictures for you to marvel and boggle at, huzzah! So having restored our energies we looked outside, noted it was no longer raining, and decided a breath of fresh air was in order before dinner and that the sea lions on Pier 39 were no doubt feeling neglected by our continued absence.

It was cold! So we walked rather briskly, and passed by various doughnut, candy and fudge shops without even looking twice! I feel filled with the radiant light of virtue! Or maybe that's just the pasta we had for dinner, yummm! Anyways we made it to the sea lions and enjoyed the stormy sunset above Alcatraz and the Golden Gate bridge. The sea lions sadly smelt a little like my friend from the plane trip (Ju would like to note for the record that she has no association whatsoever with any comments of this nature AND she is not smelly) and were considerably more animated than the bison of yesterday. We froze our fingers off taking photos so please appreciate them with gusto!

Juliet likes shiny objects :)
the hostel with our fingers thawed out (after enjoying some backwards sidewalk poetry) we decided to indulge in a little domesticity and offered to help with the dinner preparations...Danny the cook here is a magician and efficiently ordered about 6 of us around to create the above mentioned pesto pasta with salad and garlic bread to feed 140. Delicious! Having done enough good works for one day, we decided to finish off by writing to you, our loving fans back home. We would also like to mention that if you do want to keep updated on our adventures, click on the subscribe link and the site will email you to let you know whenever we update. This may be more useful when we're travelling between smaller towns and can't write daily-ish. Please feel free to add comments as you feel is necessary or mildly amusing perhaps.

Now for some more photo uploading! And then perhaps some reading and sleep, precious sleep! Thanks to everyone at home for emails by the way, we are both hugely appreciating hearing from folks back home and are endeavouring to keep up with replies, keep them coming!

Big hugs
from Jenny and Ju

Miss you already!
Hello ladies, I'm back in dreary and snowy (ugh) Ohio after my wonderful trip. The friendly folks at United Airlines lost my luggage yesterday night, but I will try to look at the bright side: at least I didn't have to drag my 2-ton suitcase home with me! (The airline delivered it to my house this morning). Glad to see that you are having fun and doing well - say hi to SF for me!
