My roomMy roomMy room

This is where I sleep.
I there I have been here a week and just wanted to share what my daily life is like. I wake up at 7am to the crowing of roosters and the slamming open of gates from them opening the tore I live behind. I have about 1/2 mile walk to school. They provide all meals! Burmese breakfast is usually noodles in a sauce and some sort of bread type thing mushed in and slightly spicy. Not my favorite I prefer when we get fried eggs. I teach from 9-11:45 and then from 3:30-4:45. During the middle I have lunch wander around or work on school either from the role as teacher or student. After my last lesson I have a Burmese class. It is one tough language! Dinner at 6:00 home at 730-8 ( again a very spicy curry, soup, rice, and a green vegetable) and then read or watch a DVD. That's about it. The camp is very dusty so being dirty is just a fact of life. When I get home I have to scrub my feet with a brush to get of the layers of dust but by the time I make it to my room they are

already dirty again!
I am finally getting the hang of using the squat toilet again. My legs are already stronger! I am putting some pictures of my room and camp with this!

She followed me quite a way . Even though I am not the first "whites" are still very unusual. There are four here that I know of in a camp of 15,000.

Even though this is a temporary camp many people have been here for 20 years. Also houses get passed to other family members as they move out. Also some are wealthier than others
