Hello Everyone from sunny, warm and green Chilliwack! 100 Mile House was where we left off. Home of the biggest X-country skiis! We met Laura and John. They have a ranch on the edge of town. Rode their trusty steeds into town for the relay! Next stop Quesnel. Met some more very nice people. We are starting to see more wildlife on route as we get into the northern more remote areas. 2 moose, lots of deer and 5 coyotes so far. Our next celebration was in Burns Lake. Quite a small coummunity. We finally got some snow. Had a great snowball fight during the celebration. Even the locals joined in! We were thrilled when we found out we got to spend an extra day here for our day off!!! We did make the best of it. We borrowed a bbq and had a great dinner. Beer can chickens, beer and wine and afew rounds of Boom! Did this in our snow suits on an outside patio. The 6 of us had a great time! The next day we started our trek down to Vancouver. Stopped in Williams Lake for the nite and then to Richmond the next day. The drive through the Frasier Canyon was breathtaking. When we got to the valley everything was green. It is spring here! We went out for a great seafood dinner in Vancouver the first nite. Fresh BC salmon. Delicious! The next day we walked around Richmond. Checked out some interesting markets. All Asian in the area so very unusual items to us. We walked to the docks in Steveston and had a nice dinner on the patio. Very cool to be sitting outdoors for dinner in February. Our hotel had an outdoor pool and hot tub which we used alot. The pool was regular pool temp which was strange when the air was only 7 degrees. After 3 days in Richmond we travelled to Squamish. Ready to get back to work after 3 days off! The drive up was probably the prettiest yet! Again warm and sunny. After celebration we headed up to Whistler. Things were pretty crazy with roads closed and security everywhere. We had a wonderful celebration. 18000 plus people. Amazing! We got up early this morning and headed back down to Chilliwack. I could do that drive over and over. We don't set up again until tomorrow. Today is Day 100 of the Torch Relay. 5 more to go for us. Can't wait to see you all soon. Especially our darling Alanna who turned 1 year old yesterday. See you all soon love Weedie and Jeepa.
