We left Koh Samui at 5am to catch a ferry, bus, tuk-tuk, plane, and finally a taxi to get to Bangkok, quite a journey.

We only had a day and half to explore this huge city. We spent time visiting the Wat Pho, it's the oldest and largest temple in Bangkok dating from the 16th century. It has the largest collection of Buddha images in the country. The amazing reclining Buddha is also the largest in the country being 46m long and 15m high.

We went to the Vertigo Sky Bar at the top of the tallest building in Bangkok for an evening cocktail. Its top rotates slowly so that you can get a 360 view of the city, quite spectacular.

We also went to the night market for dinner, which was full of "farangs", the Thai name for Westerners.
