Day 17 - Jan 7, Traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Koh Phangan.

We woke up around 5:30 am this morning and had breakfast at our hotel. We then left for the airport to catch our flight to Bangkok. Our flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok left at 9:00 am. We arrived at Bangkok around 10:30 am and then had to catch another flight to Koh Samui. While waiting in line at Bangkok Airways check-in terminal, I heard someone called my name about three times. I turned back and there was my cousin that I had hoped to see in Laos. She wasn't in Laos because she was visiting southern Thailand (Hua Hin) with her friends from France for relaxation. I was so suprised that I bumped into her at the Bangkok Airport. Bangkok airport is huge and it was such a coincidence that we were both booked on the same airline at the same time, waiting in the same line to check in! So Noui, If you are reading this, I did get to see your mom after all!!!

We are now at the pier at Koh Samui waiting to catch a ferry to Koh Phangan, a small island off the coast of Koh Samui. There is no airport on Koh Phangan so we have to take a ferry over...

Hey your blog looks really interesting! My cousin and I are heading over to SE Asia later this year and plan on travelling from Ho Chi Minh City to Koh Phangan, just wondering which airline you took and roughly how much your ticket was? Also did you come across any other possible ways of getting from HCMC to Koh Phangan? Your photos look amazing, I can't wait to see it all for myself :)
