Isla de Gorritti

Day 4
I have googled all of the areas in which we will be travelling. One of the recommended site is Isla de Gorritti. At night it is lit up and can easily be seen from the mainland. It appears to be beautiful and covered in palm trees. We have figured out, from multiple sources, how to get to the island. It is a twenty minute boat ride from the marina. The weather was beautiful today. We rode the boat to the island which supposedly held two restaurants and some old ruins. Upon docking on the island, we jumped off the boat and head to land on an old wooden dock. We were greeted by an old cannon set among beautiful swaying palm trees and a sign introducing us to the island. We trekked our way to the farside of the island by pathways covered in crushed seashells resembling small mussell shells. At the end of the path there was an oasis of a restaurant serving cold beer overlooking a small bay filled with expensive yachts with beautiful women in small bikinis sunning themselves on the decks. It's a rough life!
We ate some chow and slugged some cold beer before continuing on our exploration of the island. We found the ruins of a small battle trench and an old jail. On the way back to the boat pick up, we walked on the beach picking up seashells and watching the large cruise ships in the bay. It was a very hot day and we perspired even during the leisurerly walk back to the boat launch. A short boat ride back to the harbor and a cab ride later, we made it back to the hotel.
We went to an early dinner so we could rest up for the following days trip to El Calafate. Of course, we could not call it a night without a quick trip to the Conrad Casino for a little more roulette. I am not a big gambler but Warren actually did pretty well at the casino. The trick is knowing when to call it a night. We were not there very long before calling it a night.
