Our goods from the Farmer's Market
hello all,

Where to start. Yesterday was Halloween and as we found out, not many people here really care. We got up early and heading into town for the local farmer's market. Got some great stuff for really cheap. Some good fresh bread (which sadly the ants got into already), a pineapple and some grapes. We finally got to try out some fresh coconut. For 300 colones they cut the top off of a coconut with a machete and give it to you to drink. The milk is cool and refreshing! We also bought a kilo of some weird fruit that I can't even remember how to pronounce. Very delicious though. We also picked up some green jalapeno hot sauce too. Stuff is amazing!

So after the market we head back to the cabin and lounged around the rest of the day till around 4. We got ready for the night and headed into town around 5. We went to Mojo's for dinner (awesome!) and hung out and had some drinks with our friends there. We also met a really cool guy from Germany who was in town for a couple of days before heading

back. He had just done a huge tour of South/Central America and was ending it here in Costa Rica.

Well of course by then it was raining (it always rains at night here). So we sat on the patio at Mojo's, drank and shot the shit with the hired help. Around 8 we braved the rain and made the 10 minute walk down the road to Rockin' J's. We got there without getting too wet.

The party was already in full swing by the time we got there. For 2500 colones (about $5) you got unlimited refills of "Jungle Juice." Their version of jungle juice is fruit punch, guaro and chopped fruit all dumped into a giant cooler. Pretty good stuff. We hung out and slowly started working around the room. We met lots of great people that night. Lots of people from Europe and the States mostly. We befriended an Italian guy named Alex who ended up hanging out with us for most of the night.

The party was a blast and something that I will always remember for the rest of my life. The vibe here is amazing and everybody is so

Mojito's
chill and friendly. I see why people come and never leave. We met a guy named Dutch last night who was in late 40's. He had been living at rocking J's in a hammock for a little over a year. A girl I met from Connecticut lives here off and on 6 months at a time. She works back in the states for 6 months and then comes down here to live until here money is gone. Amazing, amazing people.

We got home pretty late last night and pretty much went straight to bed so sorry for no blog yesterday. Hope this makes up for it!
