To enjoy the wonderful free breakfast buffet, we had to get up before 9.. (By the way, we decided immediately that this breakfast wasn't worth getting up this early, so we would go somewhere else the next time. The weather was even better than the day before, the sun shining, blue sky, perfect. Especially since we left Calgary when it was -26 degrees Celsius, we very much appreciated this change of weather. We spent the morning in the well-known Stanley Park, which is a huge park with all kinds of things which are worth visiting, a little harbor, beaches, forests, totems, an aquarium, etc. In the morning we visited the aquarium, what made Michi the happiest girl alive at that moment 😉, at least, that's how it appeared to me.
After a nice lunch in a small bar we decided to rent some bikes to explore the rest of Stanley Park. To spice up things a little bit, we chose to take two tandems instead of normal mountain bikes. So much fun 😊...
Only when it was getting cold we decided to return the bikes, warm up with some coffee and explore the shopping streets a bit. After that,
we went to Chinatown to have some dinner. Although Chinatown is a well-known area in Vancouver, I actually did not really like it that much, at least not after 6 pm. We did not feel very safe and comfortable, the area appeared a bit dodgy to me. The dinner we had was okay, but the service was really bad and the waitress could not be called anything else than just rude. Not the best dinner of the week, that was for sure. After dinner we met up with Thorsten and Werner who had just arrived that day and we had some drinks in our hostel. In our nice and warm room we decided to skip the plan to go out for this night..

JEEJ, eindelijk, ik ben weer achter het adres van je weblog gekomen :-) Heb hem nu in mijn favorieten gezet, kan ik vaker kijken. Alles verder oke?? Volgens mij wel he...? :-) Ziet er allemaal toppie uit! De tijd gaat inderdaad heel erg snel, je komt "alweer bijna" richting nederland... hihihi, toch ook wel weer heel gezellig, al is het maar voor even... *snik* Bief en ik komen net terug van Elysium voor 12 uur, dus dat was wel super!(you know us) We mailen snel weer... ik heb nu ff geen werkadres meer, dus alleen mijn chello gebruiken!!
