Old Town Panama City
Mainly because we have no Colombia Photos yet... We have arrived in Bogota safely and due to the Colombian Customs being pretty efficient and very pleasant and helpful we came through the airport and then went straight to the Aduane Offices. By 5.30pm we had cleared the bikes (After a fire drill and them supplying us with complementary espressos) and were on out way to the hotel on the bikes! Brilliant! If you are following the itinerary we left then you will see that because no-one had come through here before as a group we were scheduled to be stuck here for a few days. There was always a Plan B and due to getting the bikes out before the weekend the route is this
Thursday 1st October Flown in and cleared bikes though customs
Friday 2nd October Take bikes into Autogermana BMW Bogota for oil changes
Saturday 3rd October Free day and pick bikes up at press conference organised by
the BMW Importer with 80 - 100 guests as we are the first
group to tour through Colombia
Sunday 4th October Ride to Medellin
Monday 5th October Free day Medellin and Tyre changes at Ruta 40 BMW
Tuesday 6th October Ride to Cali
Wednesday 7th
New town Panama
For the same reason October Ride out from Cali
Thursday 8th October Ride to Pasto
Friday 9th October Pasto to Quito in Ecuador

Busy and safe feeling, partly due to strong Police presence, although one rider did get pick pocketed today in town. Some people have also noticed there are two very prominent genes present in Colombian people. The first results in a disproportionate number of pretty girls and the second in the maddest driving yet. There is no phrase in Colombian Spanish for “My car will not fit in that gap” or “Is the car in front really only 6 inches away” It lots of fun but you need to be positive and clear.
And that's the news,
