Fernie

Soo.. After a week of temperatures above zero it was time for some snow again.. Skiing!! The skiclub organized a trip to Fernie, which was a really great offer, only 55 dollars for the bus ride, lift ticket, a ten-dollar lunch voucher and a voucher for two beers. The only downside was, we had to be at the bus at 4.30.. Add a huge sleep deficit I still had from the Vancouver trip to that, and you might be able to imagine my state that morning :S.

And of course the bus was late, so we had to wait like half an hour in the freezing cold.. The only thing I could think of was: I could have stayed in my nice and warm bed for an extra half hour.. Grr.. Finally, a freezing-cold school bus came. Luckily, after half an hour we transferred to a normal touring bus, I would not have liked to make a 3 1/2 hours trip on a schoolbus...

But okay, immediately when we arrived at Fernie, I forgot about the long trip and my tiredness. Fernie is great! The snow was perfect, the runs are great, and the hills or so pretty. I don't have any pictures myself, but I'll see if I can get some of the others. Actually, the day went by way too fast, we really had to hurry to use our beer vouchers before we had to go back to the bus, I just didn't want to get off my ski's.. The great thing is, I can really see I'm getting better at skiing, I'm not as exhausted afterwards as I used to be anymore..

Then the 3 1/2 hours drive back to Calgary.. Most of the trip we got 'entertained' by Jackass, and I hate Jackass, especially if it's on so loud that you're forced to listen to it. But on the bus I realized again how tired I was, haha, so I even managed to sleep a little on the bus.

You don't want to know how happy I was to see my bed again that evening..
