Days 10-12: September 26-28

Looked up a store online that has prepaid phones, and the closest one that has them FOR SURE was in freaking Harajuku… So I get Lita to go with me, and when we get there, I realized that I forgot my alien registration form and my passport… WONDERFUL! So we walk around for a long time, get smoothies at this place called Forbidden Fruit, and two cute Japanese guys came and sat by us. We walked around some more, walked down Harajuku St. and I finally got my crepe. ‘Twas yummy 😉 We were gonna go to Meiji shrine, but it was 4 when we got out of Harajuku St. and it closed at 4:30. We’ll go next time, because now we have to go back again…

I didn’t do much on Sunday. So, because I felt so lazy, I got Ashley and Chanae to go to the huge 7-11 with me to do grocery shopping. I didn’t get much, but I did get a purse for under $7. Pretty sweet. Stopped by the ATM and got out more money, although I really shouldn’t need it yet… Sometimes you think “Wow! I get all these great deals, living in Tokyo is so cheap!” Then you look at your wallet, and wonder where the heck all the money went. I haven’t even done that much, and in a little over a week, I’ve spent over $500. I have no clue how that happened… Japanese money fairies or something…

Lita wakes me up to ask if I wanna go with her to go do her alien registration, so I got a shower and did that. I had full intentions of going to Harajuku to try round 2 of getting a prepaid phone from there, but after getting lost for an hour on a bike with no breakfast, I decided I didn’t wanna go anywhere once I got back. At least I don’t feel like I have a bruised vagina this time, so I guess riding the bike was slightly better than last time; only slightly. So now I’ll post the very few pictures I have, I’ll probably cook udon and either the pork or beef I bought yesterday (probably beef), and then I’ll be lazy some more.

And on a mental note: I’m SO tired of living in Japan now. I spend way too much money, walk and ride the trains way too much (and of course, the trains cost way too much money…), and I depend on people to go with me everywhere. I want American food, where I can read the directions in American, and I can with American utensils. That was my little tantrum for the day. Hopefully I’ll adapt better soon, because I don’t really have a choice now, do I?

Just as a note for people planning a trip to Japan: bring lots of money. You have no clue where it goes after a while. It all seems so cheap, until it adds up.

And as a note to mom: I better have a huge American meal waiting for me when I get home ;p
