We left Borneo behind us and spent our last three nights in Asia in Singapore. We arrived late the first night, and left for Australia early on the morning following our second night so we had a very hectic two days trying to see and do as much as possible.
First we made our way to the Singapore Zoo, a must on our list of things to do and we spent the whole day there it was great to be able to just stroll around at our own pace looking at the all amazing animals. Singapore Zoo doesn’t feel like a zoo at all. It’s a very relaxing place, very calm and extremely well organised. The Zoo has a published timetable of feeding times and shows for most of the animals which run every 10-15 minutes consecutively. We tried to see as many as possible, some of the more memorable ones include the Pygmy hippo, the polar bears, and the Primates Kingdom which is an area full of about 10 different species of monkeys. We got some fantastic photos and after an exhausting day, we walked to the circuit of the Gran Prix (and onto the Grand Prix track

Singapore is a very easy city to do many things in a short space of time, and we could have easily spent a week here. The transport system here is so efficient and cheap that travelling from one end of the city to the other is no hassle at all. Our last day in Asia was spent travelling all over Singapore city. We went down to the shopping district, the famous Orchard road which consists of shopping centre after shopping centre and was at times, dizzying, if only we had an endless pot of money. We managed about two hours here before going to Sentosa Island (A man-made island resort & theme park). Here we literally spent our time going up on the skyride, and down on the luge which was so much fun. We had some fantastic views of the city which we managed to glimpse as we were zipping down on our luges. Then it was back for a final cheap dinner of noodles as our Asia funds had pretty much reduced to zero. We spent a very final
