Wild pod of Dolphins off Waimea Bay
It was "Ground hogs Day" as in the Bill Murray movie, a return to Waimea Bay. Again, Ted's Bakery (make those chocolate eclairs illegal!) and we finally got a parking spot within the parking lot, at 7:45am. The kids wanted to return to this beach as the rock jumping was just too tempting for brave souls. Peer pressure got to me and I had to jump as well. I had to plug my nose as I hate salt water going the wrong direction in my sinus cavities. The rock was busy today so I only did two jumps, but the kids wore themselves out jumping time after time.

A wild pod of dolphins paid a relatively close visit to the shoreline and the sea turtles were present as well, although I didn't personally swim with any when I took a snorkeling excursion out beyond the bay.

At Noon, we headed to Bob's Pizza for some great thin crust pizza and a Long Board, then back to the condo with a quick stop to pick up some fresh water shrimp, which we will cook tonight in the condo, with garlic, butter and white wine. I'm getting hungry just typing this

as its close to 6pm in our area!

I took a trip down the road 8 miles to the Mac Nut farm outlet and dropped a Franklin on about 7 lbs of various Mac Nuts and a jar of Hawaiin spices for our shrimp tonight. Day 9 is almost done (except for the freshwater shrimp I'm about to cook up) and our last day, tomorrow, will be spent at the condo washing clothes, swimming on the beach and packing up for our migration back to the mainland on Monday.

Aloha!

I'm glad you kids had such a great time. Just got back from VA and got caught up on the last 4 days of your vacation. Yes, Hawaii is beautiful, but very expensive too. Welcome home tomorrow. Hugs and Love to you all. Mom and Rick
