My Apartment!

My apartment is about a 30 minute tram ride to the centre of Brussels and a ten minute tram ride to the school that I'm working at. It's technically in Brussels, but it's just on the outside border of the city.
I live with two other interns: Doug and Amanda. The other two interns, Meg and Lauren, live upstairs.
Our apartment is fully furnished and has a cleaning service that comes in twice a month.
Other than not having hot water for the past two weeks (which was a tad inconvenient), everything has been really good at the apartment! My apartment overlooks a park and the Hippodrome (a large outdoor paved area), which is where there are some pretty wild parties throughout the year - I was told that at some point, they bring in tons of sand into the Hippodrome and create an Oasis - we have a great view from our balcony of the Hippodrome, so it should be interesting to watch!
Apparently, it's a tradition that the interns host quite a few parties, including a halloween one, throughout the year, so we will be quite busy with our own gatherings!
Down the street from my apartment there is a market every Sunday morning and it has lots of fresh veggies and fruit as well as cheese, bread, meat, fish, plants, and clothes - it's a lot of fun to poke around the market on a Sunday morning!
