I started out at 8 a.m. this morning so I would have a chance to get a large portion of the park in today. As I was going to grab a coffee and a sandwich for breakfast I was pleasantly surprised when I managed to spot a grizzly. He was smaller but I managed to get a couple pics in before my camera died, hence the very important lesson of the day today. He came a lot closer than it looks like in the pic. It was very unique indeed to be that close to a grizzly in the wild.
After that I went to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. Many very good lookout points and the waterfall was pretty awesome to see and hear.
Then it was more geyser and hot spring hunting. There are so many of them spread throughout the park and no two are the same. I really loved the ones that were clear blue and seemed to go down forever. The bacteria and the likes that grow in the hot water was also very unique. There were many shades of yellow, orange, green, and red.
To wrap the day up I took a 4-mile round trip

hike to a smaller less crowed falls. Got some awesome pics and was well worth it to get away from the crowds for a while.
Haven’t decided on an itinerary for tomorrow yet but am thinking a longer hike to some feature most people don’t get to see.

Lesson of the day: ALWAYS make sure your camera has a good charge/batteries before setting out.
