Sunset Tour
Day One - 24 June 09

3 times cancellation of Bali trip plan previously, finally at 09’s summer we stepped into Bali, Indonesia… Yes! For a 7 days 6 nights holidays.

1.55p.m we landed at Denpasar Ngurah Rai International Airport, there is no time zone different between KL and Bali, in this critical H1N1 period, still found a lots of tourist over here. We check in at All Seasons Hotel, Legian Bali which is next to Kuta area before proceeding to Uluwatu for sunset viewing. En. Wayan is our car rental service provider which recommended by my friend Mr. Freeman - Ong KH.

Pura Luhur Uluwatu was built on the edge of 70m high cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean, a good place for sunset viewing and entrance fee require at RP 10,000 pp. The temple is also home to tribe of monkeys, therefore BEWARE of them. You are advisable not to wear cap, sunglass or similar accessories, especially to take good care of your camera. Around 6pm will be the best time for the sunset, of course you have to arrive early, from entrance to the temple may need to have 10 to 15 minutes.

After a great time at Uluwatu, we went to Jimbaran Bay- a famous and commercial place for its seafood dinner and sea view… some said “romantic”. It is so call a “Great Place” … cost me an expensive dinner billed at Rp 800,000 ++ ….. !!!

The day ended with our very 1st souvenir for this trip - Hard Rock Café T-Shirt cost Rp 225,000, another collection of mine on this Hard Rock T-Shirt.

Comment of the day:-

From Uncle Lim

The very 1st impression at Bali, rather said is the main area - Kuta / Legian, is too crowded and congested, it is hard to imagine that link with “romantic” as always heard from people.

A very costly dinner spent at Jimbaran Bay, for my opinion it is not value for money, the service attitude of the waiter is not good, the environment also not at a high standard, and quality of food only at acceptable level. However, may be there is a good restaurant available over there.

From Kam Liang

Wow! Bali, a perfect destination for me to experience rich cultural and wonderful break time to taking away for daily hassle…… My lifetime experience, I was having my most expensive seafood dinner at Jimbaran but yet I enjoy the lobster served at the bay. The overall atmosphere is not bad - table set up opposite to the ocean, listening the sound of the sea, enjoying the quartet performance and etc make u feel so relax but only people there make u feel uneasy with their realistic attitude.

In Uluwatu, I’m not very comfortable with the presence of naughty monkeys which I cannot fully enjoy sunset viewing and photo shooting.
