As we are currently stranded in Namibia and have an ADSL line, thanks Theresa. Its about time for a few updates. Its true getting married does change you, for instance it made me forget all about writing this blog and gave Sandra something to nag me about. It’s been exactly two months since the perfect wedding, I have included a load of pictures so you can see the big day. Obviously the wedding was superb and the service at Madikwe Safari Lodge couldn’t have been better. I won’t bore you with details the photos’ speak for themselves. Also included are some awesome pictures of the animals from Madikwe.

After the wedding we headed from the Waterberg with Sandra’s mum, David, Reena, Andrea and Godfrey. Well prepared as ever I took us the scenic route arriving at 9pm in pitch darkness after having to call someone in the UK to google the phone number for Gnu Ranch. For those nervous travellers, you know who you are, it was just about a bridge too far to have to drive 10kms into the bush in the darkness, sorry! The place was beautiful and utterly remote, oh and a couple of confessions for Andrea, that was blood dripping out the back of the truck we followed as they had just slaughtered an impala and the snake you saw wasn’t a harmless mole snake, it was a Mozambique Spitting Cobra! Hope it doesn’t put you off coming back to Africa!!

Sadly Andrea and Godfrey could only stay for a week and we dropped them off in Joburg after a trip to De Wildt Cheetah reserve, allowing you to get up close and personal with the cheetahs, a very special experience. After a stopover in Joburg, to change the hire car which didn’t cope well with the bush, we headed for Valley of the Rainbow in Dullstroom, a bit of relaxation and some fly fishing for me. My new mother in law come with us and managed to scare off all my fish. On to Kruger for the last few days - managed to see nothing much except elephants but as always Kruger is a beautiful and wild place. After saying our goodbyes we headed back to the Eastern Cape to continue with work…..of which more soon.

Congratulations!
Hi to you both, The photos look fab. Wish I had been there to see it. That will be some tale to tell the grand-kids. Did the mums have a great time? Looks like they did. So not homesick for England then? Your not missing much, just crap weather, swine flu and recession. Finally finished school yesterday after 3 really busy weeks. Really looking forward to having some me time now. Spent last Thursday at the hospital with Becky. She decided to sew her finger rather than the material while in her textiles lesson. Her teacher had kindly removed the foot on the machine that holds the needle in place and told her it would be easier. 7 hours later, finally removed broken needle from her finger (had gone right through). Kelsey still at Sainsburys, but looking for a different job as she is beginning to get fed up with early start. Driving lessons going ok but costing her a fortune. Tom just finished second year but has decided to change courses and is thinking about going into TEACHING! Anyway what's next for you both are you going to stay in Africa longer? Keep in touch Love tracy X
