Duke with BruceDuke with BruceDuke with Bruce

Duke, believing he had been abandoned by Bruce was found walking West after he came up missing. He was pretty determined to get back to Bruce!
Long story short, Bruce drove Duke to Georgia to live with MaryAnne (Duke is a big dog and hard for Bruce to handle with his arthritis) and Duke didn't like being away from Bruce and let everyone know it in his own special way. Two weeks later Bruce flew out to Atlanta to drive with MaryAnne and Duke back to Utah (Duke doesn't like airplanes) and a few days later, on May 7th, I drove back to Georgia with MaryAnne so she wouldn't have to drive across the country alone. It was quite an adventure for the dog, but he is a very important member of our family and we all love him very much and accommodating him is top priority. Besides, the road trip with MaryAnne was really fun. Here are a few pictures.

Weve only traveled 30 miles but we're already stopping to eat! This is going to be one long road trip!

King's Peak

Though we are actually in Wyoming, that is King's Peak you see in the distance. The highest point in Utah at 13,528 feet. Craig, Malone and I have hiked the trail to this peak numerous times and Craig and I have both made the brutal rock scramble to the top.

We were able to drive another 17 miles further after I took this photo, but both of us were holding our breath hoping we would not get stranded on the freeway!
