Week 3! Volunteers Arrive

Another week full of new activities and people. Now, I am now giving the house and garden orientations. It is still really strange for me to fully realize that my current address is the Miram Shmidt Botanical Garden. Even more weird is that I am starting to get used to it. I don't even mind cold showers or rats anymore. I still may scream and have one of the boys in the house rescue me from the half dead mice that our cat likes to torture under my bed however, I am pretty comfortable here.
This weekend I enjoyed a couple trips to the beach, Corre Corre, and cookouts. I really love how much time we spend outdoors. And when we have free time the only things to really do are activities like hiking and visiting tidepools... It may be hard to get me back to civilization.

A tourist found this kitten near the childrens garden wandering around and we successfully put it in a spot where its mom could find it.

MMMM Lasagna!
Wow! Must have been a pricey lasagna unless it was made with RUM--considering how $$$ veggies are compared with the hard stuff! Looks delish either way... That might be the smallest cutest kitten ever! Happy to hear it found it's momma--but I also hope there's a spay and neuter clinic on the island so that the native birds have a chance...much love!
