After 2 hours of sleep we hopped our flight to San Francisco and then our
12 1/2 hour flight to Beijing.
We arrived in beijing but after gathering our bags were told to sit down. 2 men
came thru with thermometer that looked like little guns. They pointed the thing at
our forehead and took each passenger's temp. I guess we passed.
We made it to our hotel where we found we only had 1 room not our two
as reserved. Mike had 2 get online to find his e-mail confirmation but we did
get our room.
We dumped our stuff and went 2 Tiananmen Square where people kept wanting to
be our friend. One couple invited us to go to the tea festival which turned out to
be a horrid little room where they would give us some tea. We said no thanks and
went off to find Peking duck. We did find a restaurant that sold just that and had our first
meal in China. Yum
