After a very long flight, we have finally arrived. Despite our best efforts at looking happy and in love we didn't get upgrades on the flight unfortunately!

After a long tiring day yesterday we are pretty much in Thai Time now (thanks to a few Singha beers to help sleep!)

Hotel is very nice, air conditioned and nothing at all like we will be experiencing for the rest of our trip! By chance it just happens to be next door to where we stayed last time we were here in 2006 so we know the nice places to eat and drink!

Which brings us on the topic of food, which is beautiful. We ate out last night, had Phad Thai for breakfast (odd but nice!), and today we have been experimenting with street vendor food - cheap and lovely! Still alive with no untoward effects!

One more day left in Bangkok before we head off for a couple of days west to Kanchanaburi.

First Day
Pleased to hear you are having fun. We like the hotel!. Its our kind of place! The food looks good, but make sure it is well cooked! We have found where Kanchanaburi is and look forward to seeing pictures and comments. We went to Yarmouth and Horsey Mill today. Can you beat that for excitement? Mum also shopped in Matalan! Love Mum and Dad xxxx

First Day
Good to see that Dave is letting Gayle try the food first!!Safety first. Robin Hood and his merry men were good, we cycled 5 miles to ravenscar, all uphill, then sallied all the way back. The weather was good, though not as hot as today(17degrees today).Dad got to light a fire, and Scotland is planned - I can't wait! Love to you both, Mum and Dad B.

Sawadi
Sawadi. Sab ai dee ler? I thought I would impress you with my Thai. I spoke to a six year old girl this morning who is fluent in Thai and English. She knows were you are staying and thinks it is were they built the bridge over the river Kwai! She lives on the south coast. Have a good time. Love from us both. Mum xx
