God of Wonder is an NGO dedicated to rescuing dying babies in Ghana. I met Larry and Beki McConnell (founders) here in Ghana and visit them frequently. I have also met two of the AIDS babies they have rescued and are currently fostering. Anyone who is interested in helping them can send me money (give it to my father and he will deposit it into my account) and I will hand deliver it to them- I see them about once a week!
" With the money I will buy supplies(crib, walker, formula, diapers, etc) and take pictures!" -Beki McConnell
You can visit their website at www.godofwonder.org

Also, I will be volunteering at an orphanage called the Osu Childrens Home in Accra on the weekends. These kids are desperatly in need of clothes, toys, shoes, books-basically everything! I went there this past Sunday and was amazed at their living conditions and lack of supervision, not to even mention the fact that they do not get any love, affection or even attention from the staff. I know sometimes when you send money to places like this, you are never really sure where the money goes and if it even reaches the children- SO- if you would like to help these children, you can send me money (via my father or western union) and tell me what you would like me to use it for, then I will go out and buy the things you request and hand deliver it to the children myself. I will also take pictures of the children with your contributions!

Just email me at jalanera@gmail.com if you'd like to help. Thanks!

Hello, I visited the OSU for a week ago. I work as stewardess and visit in my free time at location oft children homes all over the world. I was shocked about the staff that was working there and the way they were treating the babies. The just let them lay on the cold stone floor in there on pie and shit. I had the feeling that there were also many sick children that needed extra help. But there was no affection and no love at all. Lather I saw that there were selling my donations to visiters that came by with there own car. I have a really bad feeling about this organisation. What is your feeling about this organisation and is there anything I can do? Greetings Suzanne
