My list of African countries I came up with in 2 hours time:
Uganda
Kenya
Rwanda
South Africa
Ghana
Nigeria
Sudan
Congo (formerly Zaire)
Tanzania
Tunisia
Angola
Botswana
Swaziland
Morocco
Madagascar
Mozambique
Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia)
Ethiopia
Djibouti
Egypt
Somalia
United Arab Emirates
Burundi
Eritrea
Malawi
Zambia
Namibia
Equatorial Guinea
Sierra Leone
Libya
Mali
Liberia
And I had the Canary Islands on there, but I wasn’t sure if it was officially part of Africa. They’re not. But they are just off the coast of Africa.

I got to sleep in quite a bit today- Sarah woke me up just in time for lunch. While we were eating, Amanda asked the kids at our table to say the phrase “bad bird.” It was funny because the kids respond “bad bad.” Only Julius Mugambwa could said it, and even then he sounded like he was choking on his tongue when he said the r.

I had a nice long chat with Sharye. Just sort of catching up and things. And I spent the rest of the afternoon working on my resume and filling out job applications. When I get back from tour, I’m going to need something to occupy my time and pay my bills, so the search is on. Let me know if you know anyone who is hiring.

At dinner, I sat with Mirembe and Claudio and we had lots of fun chatting. Mirembe told me he can move all of his toes like me and even throw a stone with them (a feat I can do too)! “Because at home, we used to walk in just our feet, so the stones didn’t hurt them. In America, people where shoes and so they fear walking on stones. But now, since I have worn shoes so much, the stones hurt my feet as well.” Not mine, though. They also told me all about jackfruit and how much they love it and how when I go there, I need to make sure and eat lots of it. Until this tour, I had never heard of jackfruit.

After dinner, I was writing and Stacie came over and we had quite a long chat about all sorts of things. Really nice to get to know her a bit too.

Tomorrow’s the day!
