Today was clear, cold, and my food poisoning had all but gone away, so took a day trip to go see Mt. Fuji up close. Have some great pics of the mountain from far away in Tokyo, and had some semi-clear views from Hakone, but today was focused just on the mountain. In reality, we were still about 30 mins to an hour away from the mountain when I took the up close pics, but it's so big that distance didn't matter. It was magnificent to watch it for a chunk of time and get your pictures in fast as the clouds passed by. Got to take these pictures at around 1pm from the roadside, then about 5pm just as the sun started to go down in the Fujikyuu Highland Amusement Park, which although is not as big as Six Flags in NJ, has some sweet coasters that held records before Nitro, et al came along.

Rides were pretty good, especially Eeganaika (ええじゃないか) which holds the Guinness record for most inversions (14) because of its 4d nature. Not only do you ride this backwards (I think) but the seats rotate 360 degrees freely so you don't know which direction you are really going in.

Took many pics. I like how the clouds change.
Also got to try the world's longest haunted house walk (500 meters through 3 floors of a haunted hospital with a flashlight to guide you out from professional actors as well as the typical dummy monsters). And I'll admit I nearly pissed myself. Once is enough because you don't know how its going to change up so there really are no mental preparations you can do for the zombified hospital patients carrying various surgical instruments trying to get you when all you have is your legs and a flashlight. Seriously may impair my sleeping tonight.

The videos are some amusing things written on the walls in the bathrooms that I was able to take some video of as we were the last people to leave the park. The men's room is great innuendo that I doubt most Japanese people would understand. The stuff in the ladies room is just weird.
