Super Sweden!

So its a myth that its either sunny or snowy here in Sweden! Its the first time I've been here in November and the weather is the same as we left back in England. So what do you do on a rainy winters day here in Sweden....go to a hockey game!

Almtuna (Uppsala's team) v's Vestaras...a local derby game and my first proper hockey match. Almtuna took the lead in the first third only for Vasteras to pull level in the second, setting up a real battle in the final third. The local team managed to squeeze in a long range shot to take the lead and a held on to take the game 2-1 despite a final nailbiting powerplay with 7 seconds on the clock. Well, at least i think this is what happened, the rules are a bit more complicated than footy! The game was great, especially the punch ups which got the crowd going almost as much as the goals!

Well, this was just a short one to practice posting the photo's. Next entry "Live from Hong Kong"...

Cool.. we've just been to Christkindel market in Leeds today.. got to try and feel a bit festive before we go away.. don't think it'll feel like Christmas in the sunshine.. any who cares? Can't wait to get out of England.. i'm getting bad vibes at work now.. it's just jealousy.. ha ha
