not a bad place to be a sheep / no es un mal sitio para ser una oveja
I have never consider myself cool but, when we were on the glacier, there was a couple who didn't stop talking and they said they were on their honeymoon... the questions started straight away: "where are you from?", he's from Israel and she's German; "where do you live?" in England; "are you learning each other's language?" yes, but it takes time and it's difficult; "where did you get married?", in Berlin, a mix of Christian and Jewish ritual; "how long will your honeymoon take?", 3 months... after each answer, people would say "that's soooo cooool", and Dax and I would look at each other smiling, but say nothing... I felt as if 2 actors were playing my life in front of me... it was weird... but I kept my mouth shut... because I'm not cool, and I don't want to be... I like my life and I know those around me like me as well, i don't need to show off... and those who don't know me... if just because I don't look cool means I'm not and they don't even try to know me... well, that's their loss... when we came donw the glacier I felt like a movie star

in camouflage while shopping on the street: you hear people talking about you, but they don't know you're standing next to them...

And so we arrived in Queenstown, where Dax got mixed up with even more cool people when he went on a off-road motorbike session... he had a great time while I spent my day trying to hide from the cool ones (you know the ones I mean: those guys with woolen hats anf flip flops, who wear the trousers very low showing the Calvin Klein underwear and walk around with a blonde chick, dress in the same way, hung on their arm), getting into every book shop I found (2), because I knew they won't be there...

With an overdose of coolness, we went to Milford Sound, but not before we left the lid of the petrol tank in a petrol station... damn!!... but it looks as if we're not the only fool ones, because in the next one, they had a box full of them to choose from!!!

Milford Sound was spectacular: snow capped mountains, clear water rivers and long and flat valleys... a true beauty... full of tourists...so we didn't saty too long...

but long enough to see the mountain parrots, not shy at all, that come close to the tourists asking for food and, in return, thay pose for hundreds of pictures; tourists like them and they like tourists because they bring, not only food, but buses with exhausts to be used as saunas...I saw it with my own eyes, otherwise I wouldn't believe it neither!!!

Mile after mile, we arrived at Nugget Point, where there were supposed to be a penguin colony and seals:
Fool me once, shame on you, when we went to Sinclair Head and there were only 4 seals.

Fool me twice, shaem on you again, when we went to Monro Beach and there was 1 penguin.

But fool me 3 times... and shame on me!!, in Nugget Point there were 2 seals and 2 penguins... does that constitute a "colony"?

The best: to see a penguin coming out of the sea
The worse: being told that there was a colony of seals when there were just 4

mirrow lakesmirrow lakesmirrow lakes
