A weekend of birthday celebrations has come to an end and while I thought I might get a little depressed this weekend as its my moms birthday too and I feel very far away from home, my lovely housemates and friends made sure I had a birthday to remember!!

It started on the Friday with a visit to the Art Gallery of New South Wales to see a Monet exhibition - yes I am getting very cultured in my old age, followed by lunch at Potts Point, some shopping and home for a girlie night with Lise consisting of Pizza, a chick flick and of course wine..........and chocolate!!

Unfortunately the slave drivers at the Orangepeel Cafe made me work my birthday but after opening my lovely cards and presents and Skyping my mum off I went. The banana and butterscotch pancake lunch I had as a treat, compensated and all was ok, especially as the customers seemed much more open to tipping when they heard it was my birthday.... I'll need to try that again soon actually!!

After work I practically ran to the local bar, the Welcome Hotel, which is on our street for
Spanish TapasSpanish TapasSpanish Tapas

What an originally named restaurant!!
a glass of wine in the sun and decided that the money I had been sent for my birthday would be ideally spent on a french manicure and pedicure...an hour or two in a massage chair being pampered is sheer birthday bliss I tell you - thanks mum!!!

Had a great night out drinking cocktails, sangria and eating tapas in Glebe - one of my favourite areas in Sydney -and ended up in a pub in Surry Hills, the Cricketers Arms before heading home for more wine at the house and Pancakes a la Nick and Lise with maple syrup yuuuummm (as if I needed more though after my humungous lunch of pancakes)!! Much fun was had by all 😊

Not one to stop at just 2 days of birthday celebrations I picked myself off the sofa, where I was enjoying a day long Mighty Boosh sesh, and headed off to Pete and Nancy's for birthday beers and then to the London Hotel for some more beers with a view where I devoured THE London Burger......mmm birthdays don't get much better - thank you everyone and wish everyone from Scotland could have been here to celebrate with me..............xxxxx

I can't believe its a decade since I turned 18......oh dear time flies a bit too much..........

PS thanks to Joshua and Jessica for singing happy birthday to me so well.. loved the pictures too xx
