Second attempt to get a tour inside Independence Hall. We came much earlier than the first time and was the second group to enter the building. We were directed to sit in a room where they used to give introduction to Independence Hall and tested our knowledge of American history. After that we followed our guide to different rooms; meeting room where Declaration of Independence was signed, room where several significant people gathered to discuss country's matters, then ballroom, offices, and dining room.

We went to take a look at the Liberty Bell briefly then headed out to Valley Forge, Battle ground. There wasn't much to see as we expected. Just biggggg plainnnnnn fields as far as my eyes could see. My eyes then caught on this brochure of the art gallery. I asked the rangers about it and they kindly called the gallery to see if I could get a tour today. They only operate by appointment. Luckily, they had one spot left so we confirmed our appointment with them and be on our way there right after we hung up the phone with them.

This place is called " The Wharton Esherick Studio" nested in forested residential area away from traffic. I could only take outside pictures because photography was not allowed inside, too bad. This studio produces wood work and they did quite an awesome job. The design of the house that makes you feel like you're in a tree house, wooden stairs that each step was connected to the wooden pole with iron bar, drawers that can be turned into an office station, and cutting board that can be put of top of the sink so you can slide cut food into the sink. What I like the most is the practical designs. There were more cool stuff that I would love to have or even just to show you. Anyway, that was the last stop of our New England trip. See you next time.

Glad you got your tour finally! It's too bad you weren't allowed to take pictures inside the gallery. http://blog.reserve123.com/2008/12/journey-through-history-on-a-tour-of-philly/
