Edit Blog Post
September 10, we spent one day in Manila, where we got the best massage ever, before we got on our plane to Palau, Micronesia.
Palau is an island in the Pacific Ocean, 500 miles east from the Philippines and 2.000 miles south from Japan. Palau is not just known as the laziest country of the world, but it's also famous for scuba diving. some of you might know it from the TV show Survivor. We stayed a week on the island of Palau and at a place called DW Motel. We couldn't post this blog earlier, because we didn't had a proper internet connection.
The first two days we spend scuba diving. All the dives we saw plenty of fish, sharks, turtles and beautiful coral. We were impressed by the diversity, definitely one of the best places in the world. At the end of the second day we stopped at Jelly Fish Lake, to snorkel between thousands of jelly fish that do not sting, amazing experience.
The next two days we wanted to do something different and get a little taste of the survivor experience ourselves. So during the day we had a guided kayak tour around Rock
Island and the mangroves, lots of baby rays and an encounter with a poisonous sea snake. In the evening we were dropped of at the beautiful Margies beach, Survivor island, were we were going to camp overnight. We had the camp setup and a fire burning in no time, like real survivors, and enjoyed the sunset, with a glass of chilled wine. After the sun went down everything went down hill... We figured out that we weren't alone on the island, from every direction we heard giant land crabs planning there attack. Then it started to rain for hours and one of our air mattresses had a leak. The next morning we woke up early to explore the island, but after a couple of steps we saw our first snake and we ran back to the beach. The rest of the morning we spend safely in the ocean, familiar terrain. In the afternoon we were picked up by boat and brought back to our hotel.
The last two days, we went for two more days of diving. Back to a place called Blue Corner, probably one of the best dive sites in Palau. The last day we took the
flight to Yap for our next island experience, but before we left first to the ATM, because there are none on Yap.

Yo!
