A Busy Day...

Another beautiful day in San Francisco! Our morning started with a lengthy stroll along the wharf with a haunting view of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate bridge in the distance. After we checked out of the Hostel, we perused some local art galleries and even became part of the art scene when an "artist" sketched us! (Ok, it was more like a bad caricature, but fun none the less.) Hopping aboard the faithful transit system, we ended up back at the Golden Gate park, this time hair decked with flowers! There, we visited the flower conservatory and met more interesting floks (one of which tried rapping to us about being " A fly mamasita with flowers in her hair." Yeah. Hope he doesn't quit his day job...

We rode all over San Fran and ended up back downtown at the St. Frances Hotel which had clear elevators looking out over the city. The view was spectacular, a great recommendation from our buddy, Andre, who we met on the bus the day before. As soon as we bust out our maps, people have been all about helping us find our way and giving us tips on cool places to visit.

To finish off our evening, we caught the bus going the wrong direction when we were trying to go back to our car at the Wharf! We ended up seeing a little more of San Fran than we bargained for, and had to haul @$$ on foot twelve blocks back to our car to make what we thought was the 10pm check-in at our hostel in Sausalito. Turns out it was 10:30pm, but hey...at least we were on time!

We descovered the star gazing in the Marin Highlands is exceptionally beautiful. We wound down for the night outside on a blanket in the middle of the field with a lot of good conversation.

Today we are perched in the Cafe Trieste in Sausalito, with the realization that our time together is dwindling. We've enjoyed this leg of the trip immensly, but enough with thee blogging! We're going to go make these last hours together as memorable as we can! Ta ta for now!

Love and hugs,
~Mir and Ang~

Hey! There's a Welsh hitchhiker at my door!
You two are just having way too much fun! That's a good thing! We really look forward to reading about your (mis)adventures and experiences--thanks for sharing! Sorry Miranda will not get to continue the odyssey. While she's wending her way home she can compose a song for Jesse's band about the trip! xoxo

Although our adventure seemed brief, it meant more to me than you could possibly know and is forever burned in my memory. I hope that if your travels should bring you back to San Francisco, that you will wear flowers in your hair and sing the Full House theme song for me! I LOVE YOU, ANG!!!!!!!!
