And on the 7th day, God made Morro de Sao Paulo

It takes a trecherous 2 hour catamaran ride to get to this tiny little island, but the seasickness which affected most of the boat is well worth it (although Paul was fine to have crabs, chilli AND a prawn empenada and still have a stomach of steel; very brave!!) as you pull into the blissful docks of Morro. Imagine an island consisting of 4 large beaches each with its own unique character; a place with no roads, where wheelbarrows serve as taxis for your luggage; eclectic restaurants, pousadas and bars that spill onto the sand, and a constant hum of jamaican music that encourages the copious intake of caprihinas.....we call it paradise and wish you were here to join us!• Island highlights: The hair-raising zip wire starting from the clifftop lighthouse and ending when you glide into the sea of the first beach; the dozens of locals that set up cocktail stands complete with the freshest, juiciest mangoes, strawberries and berries you can imagine (cheap but potent as we discovered!); the cheerful pasteo couple selling the most deeeelicious hot empenadas on the island.• Accommodation: 4.5/5 we´re having a pretty good run! (jean is happy). our private cottage is directly on the beach but tucked behind a little restaurant that serves delicious fresh breakfasts.• Food: it´s good, but not as great or cheap as on the mainlaind. but the island isn´t really about food....more for the good life, the sun, the music and lazy days.• Misc: having purchased brazilian beach racquets, we´ve spent hours ´training´along with most of the locals; the service here is amazing!! and not oppressive one iota; jean has bravely made the purchase of a brazilian bikini (when in rome!) although paul is yet to strut the sand with the ´man style´underpants that are the favourites of the truly buff locals....jean´s working on that one. ps missed this in the previous blog, but the answer to the iguazu question is: brazil, argentina and paraguay!! (10 points to the winner!)
