Off to the beach

Hey,
Hope you are all well? I've had a great weekend.

On Friday night I was taken out with all my co teachers from Bonghwa for a farewell dinner by my local supervisor - we headed for dinner and then for norebang (singing room)
Literally a room you rent with tables and sofas, big screens, mics and lots of alcohol! very good fun!!

Had a fantastic time - got many songs sang to me as a farewell which made me very emotional!!

Then to a bar for a few top up drinks with Matt, Amy and my Korean friends 😊

Next day I went on Mrs.Jin's family (my adopted family in Korea!) annual holiday to the beach. We headed out on Saturday morning to Hupo, a small town about 2 hours from Bonghwa over the mountains.

We went with the other family whose child I also teach - Insu. We had to drive over the mountains which was so so windy!!! haha!! Minseok and I felt so sick! Korean heat and bends are not a good combination!!

We arrived at lunch time and headed to Insu's grandparents house for lunch before we went down to the beach.
Korean beaches are a real sight! For a start you have the 'no pass' rope lines only just past the shore line! and then you've got all the koreans wearing life jackets! it's very funny!! I'm told less than 5 % of Koreans can swim!!

We went for 'swimming' and playing in the sea and then back to prepare for the BBQ on the beach!
We met with all of Insu's family to make a BBQ with sam gyop sal (pork) and shell fish!
Was very good and all over looking a live saxophone concert on the water edge.

Next day we headed back to the beach for a banana boat ride before we headed home.

Had a great weekend 😊

No sharks in korea then?!
Looks as though the sea was warmer than it is here. What a wonderful weekend - the beach looks beautiful. No sign of any seagulls? Norebang looks as though great time had by all - we shall expect a korean song when you get home LOL Can't wait to see you!!!! xxx

what a big banana
Hi looks like you had a great time at the beach looked like great fun on the banana did you have anything to hold on to would like to see haw dad would have been like on the back rembering time time in the south of France when you all went on the peddlo and pushed dad off oh what fun that was. Looks like its been party after party how we going to keep up with all that food looked good. Beach looked so nice and quite not a beached whale in site oh forgot dads here. loads of love the Morgans see you soon Keep Happyxxxxxxxxxg
