I didn't miss home one bit on this trip. That's why I extended the stay. I didn't miss it up until now. I remember telling people that the only place I can imagine myself in is the bay area. Then I thought I would want to leave and live somewhere else forever. Maybe for a while. But yesterday, this morning, a thought occured to me...

If I wasn't taking Spanish classes for the next three days, and trying to take a tango class, or see some other shows, I would have no reason to be here. There is nothing that ties me to this place and I would be ready to come home.

It actually occured in a conversation late last night with another traveler. He was only in Buenos Aires for a few days. I told him, I'm here for a week and I don't even think I've seen everything! I would have been here for a total of two weeks. There's so much to see and so much to do!

He said something that really changed my opinion... as much as I love Buenos Aires...

It's a big city, like any other big city. And all big cities have plenty of things to do in them.

I just have to figure out all those cool things that I want to do in the East Bay. So what's next? Time Out for East Bay (if it exists) and Time Out for SF. There's lots to do. Lots of live music, lots of great shows, lots of cool restaurants, and lots of street fairs to be had and festivals to be had in the east bay. And of course, beautiful buildings.

When I think of what I enjoyed here about Buenos Aires, it comes down to a few things-- the food, the architecture, the ferias, and the immense amount of activity.

Is this unique to Buenos Aires? What do I love about the Bay Area?
Victorian Houses and architecture, street fairs, the plethora of restaurants, and the immense amount of activity.

Looks like I know where home is... and it looks like I really am coming back... no worries friends, no worries.

I have a lot of other thoughts and observations about the city in taking it slow in the past week, which I'll try and tell you about... as well as I what I have been up to.

Home is where the heart is. And I am ready to go home.

"And of course, beautiful buildings" HAHAHAHA because where would you be without your buildings, jewelry, and street fairs?
