Hong Kong - 20.11.05

On arrival in Hong Kong we instantly knew that we would love it. Its a very modern city and not only is it much cleaner than most other asian cities we've visited it's also much easier to negotiate as a westerner as almost everything is written in english as well as chinese! Most helpful! After just a day or 2 we were hooked and we've decided that it's a great place for us to spend Christmas and New Year so we've rented our own flat for the festive season.

We haven't had much of a chance to sightsee yet so there'll be tons more pictures to follow but here's a snippet of what we've seen so far - which is mostly the insides of shopping centers, bars and restaurants 😉 but we also had a fab night out at the final of the World Battle of the Bands!!

(ps, have added a few more yangshuo pictures in to the previous blog from when we climbed Moon Hill)

We thought this American band would win as they were the most professional. Oh well, shows what we know!

It's not that I didn't think they were good, but isn't it a little suspicious that these guys were FROM Hong Kong!?!

The hair is growing.....
Hello to you both. Impressed that you have managed to negotiate your way to Hong Kong and still look happy and alive. Looks like this may be where you blow the budget. Hope you enjoy all the Chrismas preparations. Good luck Kate with cooking Christmas dinner (and good luck to Will with eating it - hehe - don't mean that at all). Gonna miss you tons. Keep up with the drinking, eating and having a fine time. Lots of love etc. XXXXX PS - watch the hair - looks like tis on the increase. X

Slight misjudgement in China..
I shall ignore your cheekiness (you little monkeys) and get straight to the explanation. If you don't want your hair to end up looking like a bad poodle parlour accident then don't let a non-english speaking chinese haridresser loose on it with layering scissors!! Oh well, you live and learn!
