Las Vegas
New York New York The first week of June My girlfriend, Pearl, and I took a trip to Las Vegas and San Francisco, the main reason of the trip was actually a business trip, I was to take my CFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist) exam during the NFPA convention in Las Vegas. My parents also met us in Vegas so it turned out to be a very nice trip.
Vegas, this was the first time that Pearl has ever been to Las Vegas, also a first for her to gamble, it was my first time to Vegas since I was a very young boy, landed at the airport once and changed planes.
We arrived on a Thursday, my pre-test class was Saturday and Sunday and my test was on Monday, so those three days were tied up for me. Our first night in the town that literally does not sleep we stayed up until 5am Friday morning, Friday my folks arrived.
The test was hard, so I hope I will receive a large envelope in a few weeks, means I passed.
Monday night I had a company dinner at Del Monaco’s at The Venetian, had to have been the best steak
I have ever had, but it was kinda pricy, I got the bone-in rib eye for $56 and I added the optional crab meat on top, but it was ohhh sooo good.
Tuesday night we all went to see "The Blue Man Group" all I can say is "If you have not seen them yet, go and see them" it was a very high energy show of non stop action. Later we would see them in Seoul, it was very interesting to see the differences in the shows, both were very good.
Wednesday night Pearl and I went to see "Cirquel de Sol - Ka" this one was recommended to me and it was spectacular, just walking into the theater took my breath, just for the shear size.
During the week at night we would enjoy playing the "Slots" with mom and dad, Pearl even staked a claim to her favorite slot machine, "Wheel of Fortune" which I will admit was good to us, we did win some money on it, enough to go shopping.
Friday morning we flew to San Francisco were we had a one day layover, we meet my sisters boyfriend, Mark, who
Las Vegas
The Strip meet us at the airport and was our tour guide that day, and he did a wonderful job showing us the famous touristy sights and not being rushed, we also had a great dinner at a very eclectic Mexican restaurant, I cannot remember the name, just know it was very small and had all kinds of colorful stuff on the walls and ceilings.
The next morning it was off to the airport and our long flight back home.
I do not know what trips we will be taking soon, I do know the 4TH of July we are looking at going some place, I do know that the "Mud Festival" is next month and we will attend it..
So until the next trip as my late grandfather would say "Hold 'em in the road"

You did another great story of your trip. However, we were there and now we know why we never saw Pearl until late afternoon. You folks spent the night "on the town". Those drinks would keep anyone in bed all day. We did enjoy the time with you two. This is a great blog of the events.
