1: Dolphins, Dolphins everywhere. 53 secs
On the 21st of April it was time for yet another bus ride but this one was not so funny, not for Kiki...
The bus driver was the worst driver ever and the roads were terrible. All he cared about was getting to Puerto Escondido quickly so we were flying over the bumps in the road and almost falling out of our seats as he was turning on the curvas peligrosas. Kiki was all geared up with travel sickness tablets but they did nothing for her. NOTHING. She spent most of the 7 hour journey sitting on the floor next to the driver in order to focus on the road ahead. At least 4 times she had to lean out of the window of the moving bus and throw up... It was not pretty. Monia was drifting in and out of sleep and kept waking up feeling guilty about sleeping when her friend was so unwell, but what could she do? Nothing. Meanwhile the bus driver, just like the previous guy, had to insist on waving to all his colleagues on the road, turning the lights on around him each time to make sure they could see him clearly. No consideration was given to the passengers trying to get some sleep. Kiki thought she was gonna go crazy...
When we arrived in the morning of the 22nd Kiki felt a little bit weak so we quickly found the first best hostel and slept for a few hours. Then it was time to get up and look for more economical accommodation for the following night, plus we wanted to stay on the beach. We found a place on the Zicatela beach which we reserved. Unfortunately it turned out to be ant infested.
We stayed in this cabana for a couple of nights. A local fisherman somehow managed to persuade us to spend some money and go on his boat tour to see dolphins and turtles. It was an unforgettable experience, although Monia was cursing when we had to get up at 6 in the morning....
All in all, Escondido was nice. We enjoyed it, but wanted to keep searching for that more relaxed vibe that we were longing for.... So on the 25th we left for Mazunte...

So many dolphins, so many dolphins. It was amazing!

Turtle

This beautiful turtle was just swimming around in the ocean when our boat came across it. The guy picked it up so we could say ''hello'' and then he set it free.

We liked Zicatela beach although this is more a place for surfers as the waves are huge hence the sign ''DON'T SWIMMING''.
