Well hello!

I've just discovered your comments on the blog site! Looks like comments get posted here and messages go to our emails directly. These modern day technologies! Sorry to the 4 people that left comments and they were unanswered. Now we know to check there!

We are currently in Regina, Saskatchewan staying at Karen's. Thanks a bunch, Karen!

The temps are much higher in this neck of the woods, so to speak (woods?). We had a lovely plus 12-ish Celcius today. We have had a very relaxing day walking around the parks in the area and watching the prairie dogs. Yesterday we took the number 2 highway from Winnipeg avoiding the Trans-Canada Craziness. We were very fortunate to see a very large migration of geese and gulls cross over the highway. There were thousands of them. Really cool. Looked like a swarm of insects at a glance. Dave found the drive rather relaxing. I did too and had a nap! (yes, doing that nod-thing again).

The prairie skies are incredible. Still standing are the legendary grain elevators, soon to be extinct? There were many metal dinosaurs in the fields.

I'm so envious of your big adventure - thanks for taking me along via your blog, messages and photos. I loved the Tyrell museum! I miss the grain elevators and the big blue prairie skies (though I hear there is snow in Alberta this weekend - bummer). Can't wait to hear more...safe travels!

Hi Jan! Thanks for the comments! It's great to hear from you. I adore the skies of the prairies. You can watch a system approach for days it seems, or watch a sunset light up all the clouds with colour from one end of the horizon to the other...
