Easter Sunday in Phuket
Seppy tries to escape on a Li-Lo in the distance Happy Easter to you all - only eggs I saw today were of the hard-boiled variety. I decided that Seppy mightn't see the funny side of it so no Easter bunny here. Nice day on the beach instead - Jonathan is a li-lo bully!
We received a few details of how the logistics of the marathon des sables will work - I've copied them here (really the only interesting bit is that there is a 5 and a half hour bus trip after we land in Morrocco. At least they provide some packed lunches :-)
28 MARCH 2008
• 3 charter flights have been reserved from Paris. The time at which you must be at ORLY SUD airport will be communicated to you by post.
• Handing-out of road-book. Arrival at OUARZAZATE
• Immediate transfer from Ouarzazate to bivouac (350 km - 5 hours 30), lunch-packet ; Arrival at 1st bivouac, dinner and night at bivouac
29 MARCH 2007
• Breakfast at bivouac; administrative, technical and medical checks.
• Following checks: free day, lunch and dinner at bivouac.
30 MARCH TO 05 APRIL 2008
THE RACE
• Beginning of self sufficiency in food: from breakfast 30

END OF THE RACE
• Bus transfer to hotel in Ouarzazate , lunch packet; collecting of personal affaires, dinner and night at hotel (1/2 pension)

• 10H00 to 17H00 - distribution of Tee-shirt MDS - MARATHON DES SABLES shop to Hotel Azghor
• Free time, lunch not provided;
• 14H prize giving ceremony - cocktail Hotel Azghor
• Dinner and night at hotel (1/2 pension)
07 APRIL 2008
• Breakfast at hotel. Free time the morning, lunch not provided
• Transfer in from hotel to Ouarzazate airport. Departure flight
• Arrival Paris (see your flight ticket).
