Camper Van Camping

So went to a resort for the last couple of days in Fiji, was where they filmed Celebrity Love Island - heart shaped pool, mirrored glass and everything! Nothing too exciting though! Unfortunately got some sort of virus and had a fever that left me shivering in 30oC+, so spent a few days in bed, Crazyness!

Got a bus to Nadi to fly out on the 13th and arrived in Sydney later on that afternoon. Stayed in the Base hostel in town but basically just went between the shop and my bed - not fun! Back to the doctors again, have bronchitis! Not sure whats going on with all the illness'. So spent about 5 nights in Sydney recovering and then hired a camper van with Joe.

Was going to cut Oz short but as I'm here, just gonna do it as cheap as poss! 19th Feb - Picked up the van at 12pm and just started driving, not really sure where we were going apart from north. Was an automatic and hadn't driven for about 4yrs. A bit wierd at first but soon got used to it! Spent the first night sleeping in a rest station (petrol station) car park, interesting!

Visited a few places the next day along the coast and spent the next night next to a river in Macksville.

Up early in need of a shower so went to the beach for a swim and used the beach shower afterwards. Visited a few more places on the coast and arrived in Byron Bay! Found a camp site (luxuries) and took a day trip over to the hippy community of Nimbin. Was pretty cool!

Just been wandering round the town and swimming in the sea which is just down from our camp site, literally 2 mins. Very good setting and gonna do some more surfing when I feel completely recovered from my random illnesses! Next day or two though.. wooo!

Hoping it will spure me on as well with the rest of the travelling and make me appreciate it again, hard to keep motivated! It is hard work really! x
