Working in the Bahamas is actual work, no one believes that but we spend 5 some times 6 days a week working on the boat. There is alot of cleaning that goes on just to keep her up. But the days off are pretty great. We have made many friends down here. Ben is a fellow capt. from Florida that runs a 42' Saber, and he stays in the boss's house and has a 26' Regulator to use. We decided to take off one morning to try and catch a fish or two. We left the dock at 6 am and trolled for a five hours with only one hit. We did see giant sunfish! It looked like a white VW Beetle underwater. After trying to circle around and get a good view she dove to deep for up to see.
We didn't catch any fish but we saw plenty of things that you probably didn't see that day.
We decided to pull into Pete's Pub in Little Harbor for some lunch and a good time. And did we find that! Greg, Pete's son, asked us if we surfed and we said we did so the four of us checked the waves and it looked super fun! Greg has a couple extra boards and we paddled out to catch a few chest high, cyrstal clear, warm waves. We surfed for a couple hours and came in to find a delicious meal waiting for us. We couldn't have planned a better day. After a few ice cold, well deserved beers we headed back to Marsh Harbor and unpacked and cleaned the boat.
Days off are a little better here.
