Well after a thrilling 12 hour flight we finally made it to hong kong! after getting to the right part of town on the trains we decided to get a taxi to the hostel. unfortunately the taxi driver didnt speak a word of english and ended up dropping us at the bottom of the hill. after a 40 minute walk uphill with our backpacks on we finally made it to the top. Our room is small and has no heating! its absolutely freezing so me and nick spent the night in our thermals, hats and socks inside our sleeping bags and under a duvet! I have felt ill since we left England and spent last night hugging the shared toilet! lovely! nick on the otherhand is fine.

As i havent felt well we spent the day walking around town looking at the strange little stalls selling dried seafood (smell lovely) and the crazy drivers. caught the train over to kowloon and walked along the avenue of stars looking at the hong kong skyline. will probably go back another time in the evening to look at all the neons. view would be lovely from our hostel if it wasnt so misty at the moment. hopefully it should clear up but cant see it getting any warmer.

we're not sure how long we will be staying in china now and i can see us leaving sooner than expected. there is a definate language barrier and its just so cold.

hope all is well in england and will write again soon.
