According to the majority of Taxi Drivers in Singapore, the number one thing to do in the day as a tourist is head to the Zoo. As well, the number one thing to do as an evening program (if you happen to be 18 or over) is head to the big club, 'Ministry Of Sound'. We decided to take full advantage of our clean-slated schedules and do them both in one day. First off, the Zoo.
The Elephant show was at 11:30am, this meant we had to be out of the house at 10:00am. We took the 165 all the Ang Mo Kio Rd. where we transfered onto the 138 straight to the zoo. The bus trip was fun because we got to see so much of Singapore, seriously; covered about half of it, and it took us about an hour and fifteen minutes. We arrived just in time to see the best elephant show I have ever seen; and for those who are skeptical about my elephant show experiences than to reassure you, the Singapore Zoo is known to have one of the best in the world. Ha!
We explored everywhere, from the Australian Outback; (where we were horrified to

Of course, we had to pause for a short lunch break; we feasted or should I say nibbled at our KFC servings. It's the first time in two and a half months we've had KFC...we were quite disappointed.
We had seen the entire zoo and now all we wanted to see was the Splash Animal Kingdom Show. It featured Penguins, Manatees and a gigantic Sea Lion named Carlos. It was unbelievable to see the things he could do, and I was chosen from the crowd to try my frisbee toss straight into Carlos' mouth. Direct hit both times, thats right.
We took the bus back home but stopped at Ang Mo Kio Shopping Centre and checked out the local shops. Chris bought a pair of cheap (but cool) jeans and sweet new runners, i just picked up a 5$ shirt. Looking forward to our adventure tonight we hopped on the 165 back to Holland Rd.
The Ministry Of Sound definitely lived up to it's name. It is one of the largest clubs, (or discos as they call them here), with over three

These are honestly the scariest things at the zoo
stories and atleast six different dancefloors/DJ booths. We arrived at 10:30pm and there was barely anyone there, we left for an hour to look around the Key Charles area and returned to find a fraction more people having entered. We were abit nervous and wondered whether we'd really made the right choice in coming. At about twelve o'clock, we were on the dance floor surrounded by hundreds and our worries were long gone. The night went on forever and we kept hopping in and out of the different dancerooms in order to get a variety of music genre. It was a very fun and exciting night, now we're off to bed.
